I'm not a fan base Android user interfaces; I think that's a little too cold and spare parts, relying too much on tech-savvy users to configure it. So I like what HTC has done here. Sense UI HTC improve everything about Android experience, but especially the default screen to make your home where you really want to hang out. initial screen that begins with The Incredible, beautiful, animated weather graphics transparent; left and right to find a movie full screen contact pictures, e-mail and social networking pages, along with the ability to view all your home screen as well adjusted. Navigation looked better here than in the Droid, because of the slightly larger screen.
Performance benchmarks out similar but slightly slower than other phones Android leading, the Nexus One, all of which Sense is taking a visible toll on performance. Incredible but still much faster than the Droid, and in this regard from all other Android phones on the market today.
Web surfing went smooth and fast in a new browser 2.1 Android, which has pinched-zoom and automatically reformats the text for the column width of your screen. Since this is Android, you can also load the Dolphin (Free) or Opera Mini if you like, and even set them as your default browser. There is very limited support for Flash, but Adobe says they're working on an interpreter 10 full Flash. The phone connects to Verizon's CDMA Rev A network, and also for 802.11b / g Wi-Fi network, I have a download speed of more than 2 Mbps on the Verizon network using speedtest.net. For an additional $ 15-30 per month, depending on your data plan, you can tether the Incredible into your laptop via USB cable micro and get their speed as a PC modem.
Entering e-mail is not a problem on two virtual keyboard, and both Gmail and Exchange push to the phone. Twitter and Facebook are not, though, but picked up a new tweets and messages periodically. You can update your tweets every five minutes, but you can not set the update period for Facebook to less than one hour, which I found frustrating.
Feels missing is anything that could be considered bloatware no single application with the logo of Verizon or a tie-in here by default. By contrast, Verizon's visual voicemail tucked them, the NFL, Skype and other applications to the Android Market optional channels. That level of attention and consideration for users who I want to see AT & T duplicates.
The biggest problem Incredible Incredible as the smartphone does not matter, they matter Android. Android Market is still far behind Apple in terms of number of high-quality applications, a problem made much worse by the fragmentation is horrible Android, a phone running four different versions of Android out on the market. Music in almost all formats is protected heard very clearly through the headphone cable plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack, and even through Backbeat Plantronics 903 Bluetooth headphones. The Incredible video player is the confusing part of the gallery photos, I found a simple profile of MPEG4 video up to 640-by-480 resolution played smoothly, but WMV and H.264 videos has many problems. Video is played through a Bluetooth headset syncs keep their lips, though. There is a built in FM radio if you live in 1985.
Incredible camera's 8-megapixel camera, unfortunately, shows many shortcomings typical camera phone. A refreshing fast shutter speed of 0.3 seconds, and there are lots of options, including manual ISO, metering mode, and press-to-focus. But unless illuminated by the sun, outdoor, daylight shots, my other images appear noisy at best and at worst bolted. The dual-LumiLED flash bright, even too bright. It ended in the top-face show. It also defaults to a widescreen 6.3-megapixel confusing "" mode that claims to be 8 megapixels, but it does not; to get eight megapixels is correct, you must manually switching to non-wide screen.
I'm far more impressed with the video recording Incredible's. Video capture device recording mode can be used by the 800-video-480 at 25 frames per second, or 640-by-480 video at 30 frames per second, they have no visible artifacting or major problems.
Conclusion
The Incredible is the best smartphone on Verizon, and the second best smartphone in the U.S., it will exceed the iPhone if it were not for all the great iPhone apps. The Incredible translate the upcoming Nexus One for the Verizon network is not really relevant, though perhaps not outmatched by the upcoming Sprint, 4G WiMAX-based Evo.
That said, there is still reason to get a different smartphone Verizon if you want or need the hardware keyboard. In that case, Motorola Droid inviting, and it's still a very good phone. If you are really all about the message, and you want great hardware keyboard but do not care that much about the application, the BlackBerry Tour is for you. But if you've been holding out for something like the iPhone on Verizon, the head and take today's Incredible.
