RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700

BlackBerry Bold 9700 made its contrast with that before the BlackBerry Bold 9000, that is. mixture of different styles textures, phone oozes class, and although still sporting a mixture of plastic-synthetic leather and soft touch paint with the now-signature chrome band, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 now feels a bit understated and in your hand. The form is smaller and lighter than the BlackBerry Tour, although the packaging more features. Overall, the outer skin of the BlackBerry is not a departure from the modern look and feel, only the most refined version we've seen so far.

Design features prominently on the new BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the screen. BlackBerry Bold 9700 may have the best screen we've seen on a mobile device. This bright and colorful, with deep, inky black and vibrant, glowing highlights. It's also completely useless on the BlackBerry interface is boring, textual and date search. Not one of the features look better on the BlackBerry device from the more polished look for your phone, such as Pre Palm or Hero on Sprint HTC. From the basic menu for the calendar and productivity applications for media player and even fun things, BlackBerry OS needs a serious overhaul, or fickle buyers will begin to pass on a great feature for a phone that looks far more modern.
The keyboard on the BlackBerry 9700 Bold rather small, slight angle to make buttons for a shallow learning curve, with more dedicated keys for the shortcut and symbols. But the BlackBerry keyboard has a strong fan base, and for simple typing, you'll find quick and easy on the QWERTY BlackBerry Bold 9700.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 BlackBerry getting a new trackpad, This is the improvement of the trackball which dominates the middle generation BlackBerry phones, but we can not help wondering whether the navigation on the BlackBerry that has been much easier since the days of old thumbwheel. It has not got much faster, as you'll see the first time, you must agree to a long series of terms and conditions, or when you need to scroll through long Web pages.

Call quality on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is good enough. We must test the T-Mobile version on the device, which uses the 3G network is not only the T-Mobile HSDPA but also called UMA. So Bold BlackBerry 9700 can place calls over Wi-Fi or cell network usual. That's especially convenient if questionable cell service in your home, or if the network provider should happen to fall, as network T-Mobile did earlier this month. When cellular and data network down, T-Mobile's UMA phone is still able to complete their calls.

To synchronize your address book, the BlackBerry Bold may withdraw from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, or if you do not have an account with Enterprise Server, the phone also can sync your address book with Google or even Facebook, among other popular online e-mail service. We especially like the sync Facebook, which attracted the contact info from Facebook and in accordance with existing contacts to your Facebook friends.
The battery on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is fantastic, as we expect of RIM BlackBerry mobile phone. It was not quite as good as Sprint Tour, but we also continue to Wi-Fi UMA enabled phone, while Sprint phone has no Wi-Fi capabilities. Even with Wi-Fi turned on, we almost 6.5 hours of talk time in one call, which is even better than expected RIM. Signal strength on T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9700 fine, usually hovering around 3-4 bars of service.
For dialing, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 packs all of our favorites. There are speaker-independent voice dialing, which have a dedicated button on the phone side. BlackBerry Bold 9700 did a good job with the conference call, though like most of the features on the BlackBerry, you have to do the excavation menu to achieve these accomplishments. Finally, BlackBerry Bold 9700 gets support for visual voicemail on both AT & T and T-Mobile. We love the visual voicemail, and we can not see the future when all smartphones do not let you choose which messages you heard easily from a specific application.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 did a good job handling most of your social networking needs, although you would not know it from the box. There are very few applications that are pre-loaded, at least in the version of T-Mobile, and even BlackBerry App World, RIM's answer to Apple's App Store, require a visit to the BlackBerry Web site (ironically, the BlackBerry App download feature in the World is ... wait. BlackBerry App .. World?)!. We quickly loaded up the BlackBerry Bold 9700 with Facebook, MySpace, Flickr and Twitter multiple applications to try. The best part is that most do not just sit on the phone like eggs in a carton, they integrate into the system, such as eggs in the cake. After you download the Facebook, you start getting messages in the inbox of your public Facebook, calendar items and Facebook on your BlackBerry calendar. Once you've set up Flickr, you can quickly upload photos from the gallery of photos to Flickr without having to open the Flickr application. None of the specific application or feature-rich handsome outside is important, but this makes the BlackBerry platform integration in one of the best to keep in touch and share experiences with your social circle.
BlackBerry Bold also does a good job with a more basic messaging application, a well. e-mail application is handled our Gmail account was fine, we are rendering HTML e-mail address correctly so that they look good. For fans of instant messaging, T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes full with AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Gtalk and ICQ support, coupled with the large BlackBerry Messenger service that works as an instant messenger souped-up between your BlackBerry device. Even SMS messages worked well, with a screw style that shows the e-mail in a more conversational. Best of all, all incoming messages are collected neatly into one integrated mailbox, so you can isolate the chat itself, or check all incoming messages at once.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 does not skimp on the features of a business, even if your IT department will appreciate the tight integration of security and more from you. If you are a small business customers, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes with a great selection of productivity, and if you can not find what you need, the BlackBerry App World seems to specialize in helping you remain efficient. Bold Office 9700 can read e-mail attachments, and with the preloaded Documents To Go, you can even edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint docs some right on the phone. If you want to create a new Word document from scratch, you must pay extra for special versions of the software, but simple editing is easy on the Bold 9700, and we can skim through a complicated spreadsheet without difficulty.
BlackBerry Bold 9700 Calendar at a very ugly, but very functional. This works better with a BlackBerry RIMs server itself, but you can also sync with personal calendar, or use a Mac or PC desktop client to take a promise from your desktop. T-Mobile still does not know their stance on the tethered modem support, so you can not rely on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 as a modem laptop on the road, but at least the phone will sync and charge via the microUSB, which means you can leave your charger behind.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a multimedia device is surprisingly good. RIM has quietly crept and enhanced music video phone capability, although the media player and desktop sync software to use both still sick. The new BlackBerry Desktop Manager in the Macintosh we can read the iTunes library and even playlists sync, but it took almost an hour to transfer less than 2GB of media, and software to crash when it unexpectedly reached full capacity on our memory cards. Still, we were pleased to discover that the 2GB card is pre-installed on our Bold 9700, under the cover at the corner of dough but smart so you do not need power to the card swap. Bold BlackBerry 9700 also uses a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack so we could listen to on our own earbuds, even if we wanted to jack it at the top or bottom of the phone so we do not jut out sideways plug in our pocket.
Video player is a gem hidden in BlackBerry Bold 9700, thank you very much for that yet dazzling screen underutilized. Players having trouble with some files which our higher bitrate H.264 videos, but most of our favorite play fine. Actually, they looked fantastic on the Bold's screen. A brief preview for Pixar's "Up" to life in a way that we never see. 2.5-inch screen may be minor to serious, long-term view, but when the video the way you came, you'll love watching it on screen Bold 9700's.

The camera on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is not bad for a camera phone. This does not produce images that we would want to print on the paper manifest, but for the Web using our pics looked pretty good. Noise problems, especially in low light, and bright lights flooded our pictures with harsh blue glare, especially outside the house. But auto-focus lens, with two-stage button to help us lock the focus before we take a picture, to capture some images looked good, perfect for Facebook and certainly good enough for an impressive picture messages. When you come out at night, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 using an LED flash light. Pictures with the flash held their color, but looked much more blurred, and the harsh flash light does not help our mug shots.
That view is also very useful for showing off photos. We do not like the BlackBerry 9700 Bold's built-in camera (more on that later), but when we were good photos, Bold screen makes them look better. Picture is not difficult to manage, if you do not mind digging through the menu a bit, and we can send photos from the gallery of photos and transfer them via Bluetooth. Also, the Bold 9700 appears as a mass storage device, making it easy to shoot a big batch.
BlackBerry Bold 9700 comes with the TeleNav GPS navigation software for the direction of the turn-by-turn. Unfortunately, our review unit did not come with preloaded navigation app, but we can test the phone's GPS signal by using the software, including BlackBerry Maps. BlackBerry Maps are well integrated with your address book, but it looks terrible and can not handle navigation tasks seriously. If you are using BlackBerry Bold 9700 to take a long trip, we'll spring for the subscription to TeleNav is not, as our experience with software on other BlackBerry devices have been positive, and TeleNav does a good job with the direction as well as point-search-interest .
Besides navigation, there is no any application other useful travel on the phone, even a simple calculator can only handle the conversion from Imperial to Metric units, and no other currency conversions are easy. There are many interesting options to choose through a BlackBerry app in the world, including several location-based search software, translation and travel planning software and many others, so if you're willing to do some research, there are options available, just not pre-loaded onto device. We did not enjoy the subway map for big cities like London and New York, but all this does not take the place of application, a dedicated navigation strong.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 is not a fun tool, especially, if your idea of fun stretches beyond the Facebook stalking and messages. If you like surfing the Web, the BlackBerry would have been disappointing. Many web pages will only display them in a mobile version Bold 9700, although the browser can identify itself as a desktop client. our own home come through looking okay, but the text difficult to read the blob and zooming in width, and layout somewhat mixed. The phone also does not support flash, and the World shakedown YouTube client app does not appear, which is a disappointment when you have to get the "Dance History" on. There are plenty of mobile games in the World app, but nothing comes close to the level of play you will find on the Apple iPhone, or even more basic Google Android device.
